- Have they considered allowing the athletes to challenge foot fault calls? I think the ability to challenge has greatly reduced anger at the officials. I couldn't believe the lineswoman made that foot fault call in that situation.

- If every match with a grievous referee error needed to be replayed, there would be twice as many matches. and if everybody was expected to call their own fouls, it wouldn't be the worst team that would lose, it would be the most honest team that would lose. Ireland were robbed. It's a tragedy.

- My wife earns more, but I have a good job, so I'm happy. If I didn't have a good job, I'd be uncomfortable regardless of her income.

- Why not wait to see who the teams are before deciding the starting times. If I'm not mistaken, the game times for the NBA and NHL right now aren't set even to game 5, and somehow it seems to work. If the World Series is Red Sox vs. Mets, start the games early; if it's Angels vs.

- Why not surround the boat after it's been captured, and arrest anybody that gets off the boat?  I know there are hostages around, but if you show that you're willing to let the first dozen hostages die, then dozens of others would never get taken hostage in the first …
